10 Feb 2020If learning to dive is on your bucket list, we’d love to help your dream come true! For most of us, the thrill of strapping on a breathing apparatus and plunging into the depths of the sea is like leaving planet Earth behind and entering an alien world. The experience is life-changing. This is the starting point in becoming able to experience the underwater world.
Your ticket to explore that world begins with this PADI Open Water Diver course.
You’ll start with 3x two-hour sessions at our dive shop or through an online Zoom class.
You’ll learn the theory of diving, including how to use your life support equipment underwater, breathing gas and the effects on your body, the value of a dive buddy, executing your dives, and more...
You’ll have 3x three-hour sessions in the pool
You’ll learn how to be safe underwater, master the equipment, how to manoeuvre underwater + tips & tricks to prepare you for your ocean dives
The last step - and the most fun - will be your 4 open water dives (this is the number of dives required to complete the course and gain your certification)
There are 3 theory sessions (1 1/2 hours each) and 3 confined pool training sessions (3 hours each) that you will need to complete before sitting for your online exam.
There is not, but we advise you to complete your online exam as soon as you can while your memory is still fresh.
Unfortunately you can’t, for safety reasons you will need to complete the Open Water Course before proceeding with your Advanced Open Water Course.
Yes it is possible to complete your Theory and pool sessions within 3 days – but we highly advise not to. Unless you are able to catch up and learn fast.
It is not advisable to complete all your pool sessions in a day as each pool session is around 2 – 3 hours. Plus, it’ll be best for you to take a short break, work on what you’ve learnt, then only proceed to the next session. Taking it 1 step at a time is always better than doing it all at once.
Yes definitely! Did I mention that we teach every day, from 9am to 9pm? Meaning, no matter what your schedule is like, we will definitely find a time that works for you.
Sure, our instructor also conducts zoom classes for theory sessions but for the confined pool training, it has to be done at the pool with an instructor.
Yes you can and you will!
Yes you do! You will get a PADI Open Water Certificate!
Trips are not included in the course fee as we want to give our students the ability to take their time and complete their training, before heading to the trip of their choice to complete their certification dive.
Basic swimming will help, as you will be able to pick up the skills quicker. But your confident level of being in the water is most important. We do offer a 1 hour basic swim assessment where we will assess your level of confidence and swimming skills before taking up your scuba diving course.

This is your first step to explore what is beneath the waves.
Taking our PADI Open Water Diver course is the first step to becoming a safe and confident underwater explorer. If you start today, we can have you diving in a week!
